Stories and Poems – Chamber Concert May 6th, 2017

Shahayla Ononaiye photoThe Grande Ronde Symphony Association is excited to present the final Chamber Concert of the season, set for Saturday, May 6, 2017, 7:30 pm, 60751 Wood Road (off Morgan Lake Road) in La Grande. Titled “Stories and Poems,” Shahayla Ononaiye will perform operatic works, art songs, as well as contemporary-classical crossover works. She will be accompanied by Dr. Mio Aoike.

Shahayla Ononaiye recently graduated from Eastern Oregon University in the spring of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Music and a Business Administration in Marketing degree. Ononaiye is currently teaching about 15 vocal students for Studio Della Bella Voce under the guidance of Jamie Jacobson, and enjoying every moment of teaching. She is also continuing her own vocal study with Jaccobson and gaining more experience in acting through local theater.

The Grande Ronde Symphony Association is honored to host Shahayla Ononaiye for the May 6th Chamber Concert. This will be a wonderful evening of great and varied vocal music by a very talented musician. Doors open at 6:45 pm with the performance commencing at 7:30 pm. Following the concert, attendees will enjoy delicious refreshments, wine, and punch provided by the great cooks of the Grande Ronde Symphony Association.
